celebrate March birthdays, and the origins of ships in the night~ started 5 years ago at a lil bar called the Gangway in SF by durt and paulo to provide a fun, radical queer dance party space for those who don't always fit in at the fancy gay clubs and all our freaky friends with good music to bump booties to. it has now evolved into a TRANSBAY radical queer dance party for ALL the homos and our loving allies. ships in the night has always been a fun-time as well as a community organizer that raises much needed funds for different groups and social justice causes. ships has raised $10,000 over the years for the good fight(s) and we're gonna keep going!

if you are interested in getting involved in ships in the night: DJing, working the door, designing fliers, taking photos, performing, have a cause that needs $, or generally want to volunteer with the ships crew, feel free to contact us at shipsinthanight@gmail.com.
